ABOUT
Founded in 2021 by Aneri Mehta and Khushali Chawda, ACKM Studio is a Mumbai-based multidisciplinary design practice that views interiors not as backdrops, but as protagonists of lived experiences. The studio crafts spatial narratives across diverse scales — from immersive installations and cultural spaces to luxury residences, retail, and hospitality — always striving to balance function with emotion, and detail with atmosphere.
At ACKM Studio, interiors are not static shells but living systems — where transitions matter as much as destinations, and tactility becomes a language of its own. Each commission is a unique inquiry into how materials, form, and movement can shape experience.

Aneri Mehta is an architect. She approaches interiors as active participants in lived experience. Her design philosophy is rooted in material exploration, movement, and emotional resonance, ensuring spaces are both conceptually rigorous and deeply human. She leads architectural direction and research-led design, grounding each project in clarity, restraint, and purpose while layering cultural and emotional nuance. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree from the Balwant Sheth School of Architecture, Mumbai. Her research-driven approach led to the creation of Contexture, an online material database, alongside international experience in Spain and the US.

Khushali Chawda is a product and interior designer. Her work centres on creating immersive interiors that move beyond styling to become experiential environments – spaces that invite interaction, spark curiosity, and leave a lasting emotional imprint. At ACKM Studio, she steers the interior design direction, shaping projects through strong narratives that balance contemporary expression with cultural depth. Drawing from her background in scenography, materiality, and craft, Khushali brings a dynamic, performative quality to space. She holds a Master’s degree in Interior Design from the Royal College of Art, London, and has previously worked with Rooshad Shroff in India.
