Midori - Residence

Midori: meaning, green in Japanese
A minimal , functional and calm home. The client, a young couple in their early 30’s.
We focused on warmth and simplicity, with an emphasis on clean lines, neutral colours, natural materials and plants. A home for the family to feel a sense of calm and to be able to rejuvenate.  

We were conscious of the space feeling minimal and always emoting a sense of calm.
The home also keeps in mind the young couple’s social life and the aspect of entertaining. 

The living room and dining area connected with the semi open kitchen, allows for larger gatherings and entertaining.  
Furniture was kept minimal with focus on timeless pieces. A large custom made blue sofa becomes the focal point in the living space.
