Bhagat - Residence
In suburban Mumbai, the Bhagat Residence is an emotional heartland for a family of five – a place to restore balance and celebrate togetherness. Designed by ACKM Studio, the 3400 sq ft home blends natural finishes, wooden textures, and soft curves to create interiors that feel warm, inviting, and restorative.

Inviting daylight from all directions, the thoughtfully planned layout creates a sense of openness amidst the bustle of the city. The living room is the heart of the home, where conversations flow as easily as time, a space equally suited to comfort and quiet as it is to formal gatherings. The wholesome, function-first kitchen extends into a breakfast counter that connects cooking with everyday family moments.

Gentle arched doorway details soften the transitions, while marble floors edged with wooden borders create a subtle rhythm, tying the home together in a single design language. A sliding-door mandir is tucked in as a private, contemplative corner that merges into the overall design. The bedrooms are designed as sanctuaries of relaxation, with two master bedrooms, a bedroom for the daughter, and a guest bedroom each offering their own sense of calm.

The terrace extends the home into a dual-purpose haven. A semi-open lounge space with a glass roof blurs the line between indoors and outdoors, while a pergola-shaded bar makes it a vibrant spot for hosting. On quieter days, the elevated terrace transforms into a sanctuary above the city, a place for stillness, reflection, and pause.
