Kunal Rawal Store
The Kunal Rawal Store, Delhi is an exploration of how brand identity can be translated into spatial language. Designing for a designer meant approaching every detail with intention. Here, materials, textures, and symbols became part of a larger narrative.
Drawing from the brand’s military-inspired aesthetic, elements such as Morse code, brass, iron, and leather form the foundation of the store’s design vocabulary. The code is integral to the brand’s identity. It is embedded into the retail store experience through brass inlays within marble flooring, tactile patterns reminiscent of braille, and custom lighting integrated into mirrored surfaces like precise armour lines. Leather-wrapped details and brass studs further extend this language across fixtures and surfaces.
Furniture continues this dialogue, most notably through a central table crafted like couture that is wrapped in leather, detailed in brass, and embroidered with the same armour-inspired pattern. The trial room and pantry are conceived as sculptural portals in marble, brought to life through careful craftsmanship.
Subtle yet deliberate, the design allows the brand’s identity to quietly unfold throughout the space, transforming retail into an experience meant not just to be seen, but to be discovered.
